The budget bill is on it's way to the Governor.  No response yet from his
office as to whether he will sign it or not.

The Senate on Saturday passed it's Omnibus bill, adding money to Education,
K-12 for base aide per pupil.  No new dollars added for disability programs.

The House has not worked their Omnibus bill. We expect that will happen this
week and then that bill will go to conference committee.

And then there's the tax bill which will be necessary to pay for all of the
budget and Omnibus items.  That will also need to be resolved.  The House
started working on some tax ideas on the floor. They included everything from
income to sales tax to eliminating exemptions for municipal golf courses and
movie companies.  All were defeated.  So the House hasn't seen a tax it likes
yet.

The Senate will be working the Transportation budget when it returns at 2:00
today.
