The Republican leadership announced their budget proposal this morning. It involves delaying a $200 million payment to school districts by about two weeks.  It also involves switching from where the State reimburses people for income tax refunds.  The thought is it would involve about a two week delay in reimbursement.

They also included about $18 million in savings in next years budget. It includes the Governor's "Top to Bottom Review", savings in Medicaid program by implementing recommendations in the Senates "President's Task Force on Medicaid".

As expected, there were no tax increases in the plan.  That means no money for waiting lists or other items identified by the Big Tent Coalition.
