The
Big Tent rally last week was a huge success! Congratulations to all who joined
us in Topeka and in Spirit.
However, that was just the beginning. Legislators are at home now for two
week and we need to contact them.
We understand that the Republican Leadership will be unveiling a proposal to
balance the budget tomorrow. We are
very eager to see their proposal, however Speaker Doug Mays already indicated
that it does not contain a tax increase. He also stated that it does not
contain any of Gov. Sebelius' proposals.
Please continue to contact legislators, write letters to the editor and attend
any community meetings attended by legislators and voice concerns for all people
who will not get services.
