The Department on Aging
budget was heard in the Social Services budget committee of the House this
week. The committee will be giving a report to the full Appropriations
committee on Tuesday.
SRS budget will be heard by
the same committee beginning Monday afternoon at 3:30. Monday will be an
overview, Tuesday-Thursday will be public hearings. Tuesday public
hearings will focus on Mental Health, Pharmacy and Hospital reimbursement.
Wednesday will be Health Wave, CDDO's and "other Medicaid"
issues. Thursday will include integrated services, child care, family
preservation, adoption and foster care.
We're just getting started
with the budgets, so get ready.
We support the increases in
the Governor's budget but also see the need for more funding for the Frail
Elderly Waiting list and funding for the Head Injury Waiver.
